If you’ve been watching WWE NXT, I don’t need to tell you the amount of talent that is working down at Full Sail University. Names like Kevin Steen a.k.a. Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor, Adrian Neville and Hideo Itami have everyone excited for them to come up to the main roster. But as we’ve noticed in the last few months, things don’t go exactly according to plan when it comes to talents getting over once they hit Monday Night Raw. Adam Rose, Emma, Bo Dallas and others have really not being given the proper introduction to the WWE universe. So what I thought I would do is every so often do it article taking an NXT talent that is really making waves and figure out a way to introduce them on the WWE main roster. Giving them a leg up heading into the big stage.

Now, let me make one thing perfectly clear. This is purely hypothetical. I don’t expect WWE to do any of this. Because it would actually take planning and forethought and they seem to be lacking in that department lately. So who am I going to introduce to the WWE universe proper? Will I could think of nobody better than Enzo Amore, Big Cass, and Carmella. Why them? Because those characters have personality. They jump off the screen and really embody of professional wrestling’s all about at the end of the day. The over-the-top have been able to engage the crowd in a way I haven’t seen many do in quite some time. Due to their Italian gimmick they are often compare them to the FBI from ECW. But to me, given their gift of gab and their lyrical style with the audience. They are more the New Age Outlaws than anything.

The problem is how do you explain the character and his catchphrases to the audience? SAWFT is chanted every month in Orlando. But how do you translate that worldwide. Honestly I think, if you want a New York gimmick  to get over debut it in New York.

Madison Square Garden

Madison Square Garden has seen as many illustrious moments in its decades of existence. From the first Wrestlemania, Summerslam, the debut of The Rock many great moments have happened in that building. I can think of no place better than to debut an NXT star based in the New York area around this year’s holiday show in the most well-known of arenas..

This would not be the first NXT debut in MSG, but I would make it the most memorable. Enzo Amore, Big Cass and Carmella are all sitting in the front row. Around intermission. The Miz comes out with Sandow talking about bad New York City is asking the fans why they still live here. As he gets to Enzo and crew stops and recognizes them from NXT. The two trade insults back and forth until physicality happens as they brawl for a little while. Then a tag match is made for the second half of the show. The Miz and Sandow lose the fall. Getting the NXT pair a real win over a WWE roster member.

You can have a similar thing happen the following night in New Jersey, where the two get into a scuffle about what happened the night before.

Given that Raw would be taped for a few weeks due to the holidays, WWE could make the footage available on the website as an exclusive, then putting it to YouTube. Hell, I would even go so far as to make the whole MSG show available on the Network.  The Miz could have back-and-forth on Twitter with Enzo in the meantime. After the holiday episodes have aired have a WWE crew film some vignettes with Enzo Cassidy, and Carmella in New York. This can help get the audience used to what the characters will be, if they didn’t see the footage. You can have them at New York landmarks and have the trio go back-and-forth talking about the Miz and Sandow showing the footage of their victory over over again..

After a few weeks, the Miz gets really angry and asks the COO for match against Enzo and Cass the following week on Raw. The pair win the match again bringing them into the WWE old and not making them seem like developmental talents. And if you wanted to them all the ladies and they talk Maryse in the coming in as a valet to face-off with Carmella that would add another layer to the proceedings..

That’s not saying that this is a perfect introduction but it’s better then cold vignettes to the audience. We can only hope that WWE puts a little bit more effort in introductions of their NXT talents than they have in the past. Hopefully everyone can make it to the next step in creating new talent and bringing the product forward to the next generation.
