Tyson Kidd tweeted the following last night on the one-year anniversary of his spinal fusion surgery

The former WWE World Tag Team Champion received the surgery following a scary bump from a dark match with current NXT Champion Samoa Joe in which he landed awkwardly taking the Muscle Buster finish. His journey to recovery has been chronicled on this past season of the Total Divas reality show. Tyson said at the time that only 5% of people that suffer the the spinal injury he did survive. The surgery to repair his spine involved 16 staples, 4 screws and a metal rod inserted into his neck.

Currently, Tyson Kidd’s in ring future remains unclear. While the Canadian superstar has the drive to want to get back in the ring I’m not sure of WWE will actually clear him to compete as it could be a major risk for the company
