The first book from the former AJ Lee, AJ Mendez Brooks, will be released on 4/4/17, titled “Crazy Is My Superpower: How I Triumphed by Breaking Bones, Breaking Hearts, and Breaking the Rules.”

Promotional material for the book notes it will be “a literary memoir chronicling her unlikely rise from 100-pound nerd growing up in extreme poverty and enduring years of abuse, to international sex symbol and professional wrestling champion (known as AJ Lee) who fought against stereotypes, forced the men in her industry to view her with respect, and inspired a huge fan base of over 2 Million Twitter followers with her fierce independent streak.”

Brooks announced her retirement from WWE in April 2015 following a run that began in 2007 when she was signed to a developmental deal. Her run included three WWE Divas championships, a run as the Raw General Manager, a would-be wedding with Daniel Bryan and more.

NBC 10 in Philadelphia ran a piece about a fan, upset over lineup changes to WWE cards in the area after Daniel Bryan and John Cena were pulled from subsequent events (and getting no response from WWE after being told he would be comped a pair of tickets as an make-good) contacting them for help in getting the issue resolved. WWE.com announced the following:

Dolph Ziggler will be inducted into Kent State University’s Varsity “K” Hall of Fame for his impressive amateur wrestling accomplishments while attending from 1999 through 2003.

“I had a very fun career there,” Ziggler told WWE.com. “We did a lot of cool things, we won a conference championship, [and] a lot of special bonds [were] made with friends who I still talk to to this day.”

Ziggler acquired many impressive distinctions while wrestling for the Golden Flashes, including graduating as the university’s career leader in victories, as well as being a three-time Mid-American Conference champion. He is also only the third wrestler in the history of the program to be a four-time NCAA qualifier.

“I started wrestling when I was five,” Ziggler said. ” I lost my first match and cried in front of my dad, and I never wanted to do that again. I grew from that day on, and when I get up there I will have a couple of people to thank.”

WWE congratulates Ziggler on this distinct honor and we look forward to his induction on September 17.
