Mike Johnson from PW Insider wrote the following regarding the evidence brought to the grand jury that was used to indict WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka and his arrest:

The grand jury evidence used to indict Snuka included his three different version of the events leading to Nancy Argentino’s death, the arrest report from when he was arrested in New York after arriving police found him dragging a naked Argentino through a hotel hallway by her hair several weeks prior to her death, and testimony from the widow of the late Buddy Rogers and Snuka’s first wife Sharon regarding a physical beating Snuka gave her that sent her to the hospital in the early 1980s.

Snuka’s admission of drug use in his autobiography as well as transcripts of interviews he gave during the promotion of his book where he discussed Argentino’s death were also included as evidence.

Snuka’s attorney William E. Moore told the Allentown Morning-Call that Snuka is not only battling stomach cancer, but also dealing with partial dementia from all the physical punishment he put his body through during his wrestling career and whoever represents him in his criminal case will likely focus on whether Snuka is even fit to stand trial.

Snuka was wheelchair bound and using a feeding tube when he surrendered yesterday to authorities, according to The Allentown Morning Call.

Snuka was accompanied by his wife Carole and his first Sharon (who posted the $10,000 cash used in his bail in order to secure his release).

The real unanswered question in all of this is why the investigation into Snuka just stopped in the early 1980s and why is it that the autopsy of Argentino just disappeared into the records and files of the police for so many decade until The Allentown Morning Call was able to unearth it last year. Had they not uncovered it, there certainly would never have been an indictment. How and why it ended up being “lost” for so long is the smoking gun here.

Snuka is slated for a 9/21 preliminary hearing in Allentown, PA.

WWE responded to the charges by suspending Snuka’s Legends contract, they wrote the following to PW Insider:

“Jimmy Snuka’s non-wrestling ‘legends’ contract has been suspended and we are currently removing his images from our media platforms pending the outcome of this case.”

The company also has removed Jimmy Snuka from their website when you type in his name the only thing that comes up is Tamina.
